Brijesh's languid batting style oozes class, and reminds you of the finest strokemakers in Indian cricket - Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Prabharkar... Sadly, Brijesh has an uncanny ability, much like Mark Ramprakash and Graeme Hick in the mid 1990s of getting out once he has got his eye in for a score of approximately 30 runs. Brijesh is a recent mover to New Zealand and it seems that many Kiwis are unable to say his name with much accuracy. Brijesh is known by his team mates for Taita as "Bdesh", "Bejesh", "Bridesh" or pretty much any combination of "B" and "esh" whilst failing abysmally to include the "rij" within.
