Andy Monk has ambitions and certainly the mouth and the knowledge to become a cricket commentator. Andy always has a tale to tell about something, nothing or everything.

Andy is ideally suited to the challenges that will be presented on the NZRB's tour to Australia, more than able to heave the ball out of the ground with stunning regularity, the NZRB team will be hoping that Andy punishes the Australian bowling with sufficient frequency to leave the Australians in a wreck in his wake. If his batting does have an off day, then Andy will more than compensate in the field with his ability to mentally deconstruct the opposition. Andy tells me his favourite and most effective sledge is to inform the batsman that they have oversized ankles, thus making them thinking about using their feet more, or potentially less, luring them into an error.
